Real Life with Rachie Rach
Hi!
I am Rach – I am a Mum who is 35years young I have 2 beautiful boys – Master M who recently turned 4 and Master S who turns 2 soon and a husband who frequently works away from home. I was born and bred inTasmania, met and fell in love with my husband just before he joined the Army and we have lived in a few different locations since! We have had 6 major moves and currently live inCanberra. We are very happy with our two children and definitely do not want to go back for another no matter how many people ask us if we are going to try for a girl – the answer is always going to be no. We are done!
I lost 15kgs at the beginning of 2011 – put 5kgs on during my winter hibernation this year, and another 2kgs on just during the Christmas / New Years period – and am looking to lose around 20kgs this year to get me into my healthy BMI. I LOVE running – although if you had’ve told me that at the beginning of 2011 I have laughed at you! But one day I started and now I love it! My problem is that I LOVE to eat and when winter comes I find it very hard to leave the house and my ducted heating.
Master M starts Pre-School next year and will be going 3 mornings a week. Master S is in Day Care 2 days a week. Mast S thrives on the interaction with other children as he is very social and outgoing. Mast M is quite shy and very self conscious so it will be interesting to see how things go this year.
I have recently decided to become a stay at home mum after a career HR and Recruiting. Things are a little tight money wise, and I do hope that at some stage in the future I will find a position that will fit in better with our little family. But for now I am looking forward to sitting back and enjoying the moment with my boys while they are so young.
My house is organised chaos. I know where everything is. Most of the time.
The things I like to do for me: Photography (nothing fancy just capturing memories), reading (LOVE my Kindle!), swimming, running, cooking and eating.
I am really looking forward to being able to show you that what you go through on a daily basis isn’t that much different to so many others. I love my life – it’s not fancy, it’s not organised, its not creative – it’s just us. Keeping it real one day to the next.
2012 is shaping up to be a good year and I really look forward to sharing it with you!
Rach
