Teo has Greek origins and we like it because it is short and sweet. This baby boy’s name means “a gift from God”. Teo comes from the name Theodore, and while it is popular in Italy it is still quite rare to meet a Teo in Australia.

2. LAYLA

Layla has an alternate spelling of Leila, and while it is unique it is gradually increasing in popularity. It has an Egyptian origin and it means “dark beauty born at night”. It is a baby girl’s name, and it has a nice musical reference (some of you may be familiar with Layla by Eric Clapton).

Enya is a baby girl’s name which has an Irish origin. Enya comes from the name Eithne, and it means “fire”. This name is fairly unique in Australia and was most popular in the early 2000s.

5. BRENNON

Brennon has an Irish heritage and is most commonly used as a surname. It had a period of popularity in the late 90s, but not for long.
