Maid2Match Cleaning Services Review

There’s only one thing I hate more than my dirty house. That is… having to clean it!

I must admit, I am not a naturally tidy person and between two kids and a full time job, my husband and I are always behind!

My solution? Outsourcing!

The realisation that you can outsource certain tasks and that outsourcing will free up your time for other stuff is a powerful one as a small business owner and should also be applied at home!

So, I tried* Maid2Match a couple of weeks ago and here is how it went!

First of all, the most amazing thing is that I was actually able to get a cleaner! With workforce shortages across the country, I have not been able to get regular cleaning services for about two years. I tried many times and ended up having more cancellations than anything else.

I nearly gave up trying, but well… did I say I hate cleaning?

So, apart from actually being able to get my cleaning done. How did Maid2Match go?

The Booking

I booked my cleaning through their website. I found the interface user-friendly and the process straightforward. I was asked the usual questions: my address, preferred timeslot (there’s a ‘flexible with time’ option), and details about my house (number of bedrooms, number of bathrooms, etc).

While I had to provide my credit card details, the amount was ‘held on’ the night before the service, and charges were done after the service had been completed.

Type of Service (Hourly vs In-Depth)

Maid2Match offers two different types of service: hourly rate or a flat rate. As the name suggests, you pay by the hour and the cleaner will focus on whatever you need within that timeslot. Since my house was in need of deep cleaning and I wasn’t sure how long it would require, I went for a flat rate. The flat rate is based on the size of your house and the cleaner will follow a ‘to-do’ list of things that need to get done.

The Cleaner

My assigned cleaner, Shinobu, was lovely. She arrived on time and came in with all her ‘gear’ and equipment. Maid2Match staff bring all they need, one less thing to worry about!

The cleaner and I went through my ‘to-do’ list and she even suggested things – for example, she asked me if my ceiling fans needed cleaning – that I had not included in my list!

While she cleaned the house, my husband and I were working in our office. She was mindful of us and it was amazing to end my working day with a clean house!

The Cost

You can get an instant quote from their website as each client and their house is unique. I understand the prices Maid2Match will depend on the size of your house, frequency of service (they have a discount for ongoing cleaning) and possible extras (i.e. oven cleaning).

The Results

My house was spotless and Shinobu had way more attention to detail than I ever do! I would not hesitate to recommend Maid2Match for the results, the punctuality and the easy process.

While I acknowledge that being able to afford a cleaner is a huge privilege, it is no doubt money well spent! It just frees up so much time and head-space – not having to worry about cleaning is priceless.
