Nude Food Movers
Are you going nude? I am! Since, I don’t want to scare you with all of my goodness I’m going to come clean… It’s not me that’s nude; it’s my food and the fact that I am a supporter of Nude Food Day.
Nude Food Day is a nationwide program and event held in primary schools throughout October to encourage students to bring environmentally friendly lunch options, so no plastic packaging or wrapping.
The idea behind this is to reduce the amount of packaging and rubbish that pollutes our planet each year. Instead of buying smaller packets of items, the nude food movement encourages you to buy a larger size of the product and split it up into the lunchboxes and containers. Doing this is better for the environment and your pocket (bulk items cost less) in the long run.
To help spread the word about Nude Food Day, Smash asked us to test the latest Nude Food Movers range and share our favourites with you. Nude Food Movers offer a range consists of reusable plasticware including lunchboxes, sandwich and snack boxes, and stackable snack tubes.
With 3 young children I never have enough plasticware and couldn’t wait to see what the new range contained and how we could use them. Below are my favourites and I why we enjoyed these the most.
Snack Tubes Triple
The Nude Mover Snack tubes are super versatile. The spill proof and airproof containers are interchangeable; you can mix and match the tubes to have them stacked or as individual food containers. The snack tubes are the same width as many bottles so they can fit into the bottle pockets on lunchboxes and bags. The lids from the containers in the lunchbox are the same size as the snack tubes, so you can easily find a lid to fit each tube, making them adaptable to your family. These are perfect for school snacks or toddler snacks as you can put their sultanas, carrots, biscuits or more into the tubes and know that they will stay fresh and not leak. They are also a great idea for baby food portions as they are easier to stack and store. The triple tubes means that you can also easily keep food items separate for a fussy eater.

Rubbish Free Lunchbox
I find these lunchboxes simple and easy to use. I like the way the Nude Food Movers lunchbox offers 3 separate storage compartments so that I can have the fruit for recess in one, the snack for recess in another and the sandwich in the main compartment. They also come with two removable leak proof containers which fit into 1 side compartment and are great when wanting to give smaller snacks like sultana’s or rice crackers. They are also good to stop juicier snacks from sharing their love and making the other snacks soggy. The rounded size compartment is also useful as it will fit whole apples or mandarins in without squishing them.
As Australia gets very hot in Summer I also like the fact that you have the option to put the lunchbox into a stretchy neoprene cool skin for extra insulation. While the kids cannot get the lunchbox back into the cool skin it will keep snacks cooler for the hours in the lead up to recess and lunch.

Yogurt Mover
All too often in summer I do not send my children with certain foods to school as I worry how they will fair in the heat until lunchtime. The Yogurt mover solves this dilemma by offering a leak proof container equipped with gel walls that can be frozen and a spoon that attaches to the outer plastic. Not only did the children love the idea of this box I think it has great potential as a cool box for meat cuts, cheese and other snacks that need to remain cooler.

Smash Stealth bottle
The Smash Stealth bottle (Grey bottle in above picture with lunchbox) is an idea school bottle and I really like them. Simple in design for your child to use, they are simple to clean and effective at giving water to the drinker without having to fight for it. The design is long lasting with minimal parts; ensuring you are less likely to lose bits and pieces. Yet if you do, they mix and match to any of the other Stealth bottle within the range. Available in a range of sizes 500ml, 750ml, 800ml and 1L they are suitable for children of all ages and any drinking requirement.

Snack Box
The snack box is perfect for portion control or for snacks going into a larger lunch bags. With a young toddler I find these snack boxes perfect for snacks to take to the park as they are large enough to fit most items in easily as well as enough that you can cater for a sibling or friends. My toddler loves having his own snack box to eat from because it is his, and I love the fact that if he eats over the box, it can help reduce the amount of mess at home.
