It provides a great activity that the whole family can enjoy whilst also offering an activity for the children while mum looks on and relaxes. Springfree Trampoline Review

All of my children love the Springfree Trampoline and go out to play on it often.

As a mum I enjoy the way it encourages them to be outside and active, along with encouraging them to think of different ways to integrate it into their play (it has been a school, a party zone and more) Whilst typically, trampolines are used for children from 3 years and up, I have found that younger children can enjoy the Springfree and feel safe within it, as they are secure and enclosed with no risk of hurting themselves

For my family, one of the biggest benefits with the Springfree trampoline is that it can handle 500kgs. This is ideal as the trampoline offers such a fun activity that everyone wants to be involved at the same time and with a family of 5 the weight can add up quickly. It is also important when having friends over to play as there are often times when there will be more than 8 children on the trampoline at once, especially if you have teenagers.

Quality
In terms of quality the Springfree trampoline is well-engineered to be a safe, durable, high-quality product.

The base of the trampoline is strong in design and well-built to offer a sturdy safe base that cannot hurt a child when they fall down. It is also coated to reduce the likelihood of rust occurring. The net that surrounds the entire trampoline is fed through supporting rods which are securely fixed into the mat. This completely encloses the net so that there are no gaps for feet or arms to fall into or get caught.

The flexible fibreglass rods that go around the trampoline netting are great at securing the safety net and flexing to absorb the impact from a jumper falling into the net. The net and rods work together to prevent the net from overextension and thus prevent the jumper from further injuries The net itself is strong to withstand children purposely jumping or running into it, only flexing and coming back into place without stretching. To me, the net feels higher than our previous trampoline and would be impossible for an adult or child to bounce over. There are two zips at the entry to the trampoline, which makes it easier to get into and out of. Both are thick and durable. The rods are also super strong and offer a good hand support for younger kids to safely exit the trampoline.

Suitable for Australia
One of the issues with trampolines, in general, is that in the harsh Australian weather the sun will cause wear and tear. Springfree has created its trampolines to withstand the Australian climate with the net UV tested to twice the Industry-standard while the mat is tested to withstand more than 5,000 hours of harsh sun exposure.

Set up
The trampoline is difficult to set up. Even after reading the instructions and watching the videos, we had to restart a few times and this was all exacerbated by impatient children, so please note that this is not a trampoline that could be set up on the sly or quickly while children sleep. However, the resulting safety and security for jumpers that the Springfree provides are worth it. Springfree offer an installation service and I would recommend that you consider this when purchasing the trampoline. You will also need to be certain of the area that you are setting the trampoline up in – it needs to be very flat and you will need to have around 1.5 metre where the trampoline is going to walk around it during the setup process. It is also recommended that there are no low lying branches or obstacles that could cause injury to a bouncer.

Installation tip: Ensure the fixing hooks within the mat are correctly aligned so they do not retract inside the mat and make the rest of the installation more difficult.
