Peppa Pig Electronic Cook and Play Kitchen
Peppa pig is a beloved children’s TV character. Throughout the show her and brother George go on adventures together and learning and teaching viewers great lessons.
They often have pretend play scenes and Peppa is great at helping George learn new experiences. Overall, the brother and sister duo are lovable, funny and can be identified with by most children.
I was very excited to review the Peppa Pig Electronic Cook and Play Kitchen as my children love pretend play and have a cubby house, so this would be the perfect addition to play ‘café’. The Peppa Pig Electronic Cook and Play Kitchen is made out of plastic and comes with 17 pieces including two cupcakes, a tray, a Peppa Pig character and utensils to cook with. Once set up it is around 1metre high and is the perfect size for toddlers, pre-schoolers and school age children. It is neat and tidy and looks good in any child’s room.
The first test (as with any new toy) came when trying to set it up with three excited children. I was very pleased, as it was simple to set up; not fiddly and both the 4yr old and the 6yr old were able to help. The set up process only took around 15-20 mins which isn’t long for children waiting to play with a new toy, especially as they could be involved in the set up.
The kitchen has knobs that turn to create lifelike kitchen and cooking sounds. The first knob has the sound of the oven starting; then, there is the kettle whistling and a pot bubbling. All which help to keep the children interested in the toy and I found the noises are good are helping them to come up with ideas. For example when the kettle noise would sound they would say “Tea’s ready” and then serve tea.
The children loved the toy and the only thing improvement I could suggest and would’ve liked, would be if you heard Peppa’s voice saying something like “let’s cook together” or “I love tea” after the kettle has boiled as this would truly excite the children.
