Gogo Smile Complete Teeth Whitening Kit
Although I brush my teeth twice a day I have noticed that they have progressively yellowed over the years. My husband has even commented on this which upset me; living on a family budget, the process of teeth whitening kept falling into the ‘not now, maybe later’ basket.
I was both excited and scared at the thought of testing the Gogo Whitening kit. Excited as it may help whiten my teeth yet scared as I previously have had very sensitive teeth so I worried that the Gogo whitening kit would aggravate them.
The kit came in the mail and included everything you needed to whiten your teeth. I have to admit that I found the instructions very limited and I would have appreciated a little more guidance. To start your treatments, you need to shape the mouth tray to your teeth. This process is simple and I like that they gave you a spare mouth tray should you make a mistake. Once shaped, you add a little of the whitening gel to the mouth trays and insert into your mouth. Then you need to apply the LED light for 15 minutes. This is done by placing it in your mouth and wrapping your lips around it.
I have to be honest – it does not look pretty and it doesn’t feel fantastic. It is not uncomfortable; however, it really is best to treat yourself when you have alone time. My advice would be to do this when you could lie down on the couch for a bit. The process is meant to be undertaken twice a day for seven days. I found fitting this amount of treatment into family life unattainable. I however used it every couple of days for the required times and noticed good whitening results.
With each treatment I could see that my teeth were whiter.
After 5 treatments I feel that my teeth have gone at least 4-5 shades lighter. As the Whitening Gel will last for up to 2 years, I feel that I can get my teeth to the colour I desire within a time frame that suits my family life. In relation to whether there were any sensitivities caused by the Whitening process, I felt none.
The Whitening experience with Gogo Smile has been a positive one and I would recommend Gogo Smile to others. It offers the ability for busy mums to tailor their whitening results with a DIY method that is easy to undertake. A significantly less expensive option than the one reviewed here is the Cali White Botanical Whitening System, which is available online from Amazon. This kit includes everything you need to get started, eg. LED lights, mouthpiece trays and gel syringes. It’s a great kit for a very reasonable price! It’s effective and gentle on sensitive teeth.
