Familoo is a family toilet seat that combines an adult as well as a child size toilet seat to eliminate bathroom clutter!

It offers a great alternative to the removable toilet seat inserts that aren’t really user friendly for guests, and tend to pile up behind the toilet! The Familoo design makes toilet use simple and straight-forward for young children and adults alike. My 4-year old son loves the fact that he’s using the same toilet seat as the rest of the family; making him feel a bit more confident and independent which is wonderful to see!

The Familoo fits all standard toilets and the fittings are adjustable, which takes the pressure off selecting the correct seat for your toilet.

There are several seats of this kind on the market, and I have found this to be very competitive in price! The toddler seat is held up using a magnetic catch which my 4-year old finds very easy to release. I love that the adult seat and lid are soft-closing to avoid sudden loud noises and also little fingers being caught. The toddler seat isn’t soft close and has the tendency to slam down if it’s not being held as the magnet is released, but it’s quite light and my son has gotten used to it very quickly. It’s user friendly and very easy for guests (who share the kid’s toilet in our home) to navigate. My favourite thing about the magnetic catch design is that if the toddler seat is left down, the magnet on the lid automatically picks it up again when it’s closed!

The initial fitting of the Familoo toilet seat is a little involved, but with the instructions and pictures provided in the box along with all the fittings we got there! There are also complete step by step instructions with coloured pictures on the Familoo website which I personally felt made the experience a lot less daunting and took all the guesswork out of it! Another advantage is that you won’t be needing a full toolbox for installation either, with the only tool required being a Phillips head screwdriver.

Another great point about the Familoo is that it’s very hygenic and easy to clean as it’s all one piece.

It also has an easy quick button release to remove the entire seat, making it simple to clean all the way to the back where the screws are. This is great as it means no more stinky toilets or hidden germs!

I think the Familoo Family Toilet Seat is a great toilet seat for toilet training, especially for homes with children at different levels of toilet training/ use.

It’s also a fantastic and great-value alternative for grandparents to have at their homes for when their grandkids are visiting, as the seat resets for adults each time it’s used and causes no problems at all! A good product overall. 🙂

It appears that the Familoo toilet seat is no longer available. The good news, though, is that Catch.com.au and Amazon both have affordable family toilet seats that are comparable to the Familoo seat.
