Microwave Bolognese Sauce

A recipe for Microwave Bolognese Sauce.

Ingredients:

500 grams beef mince

1 onion, diced

400 gram can diced tomatoes

140 gram can tomato paste

80-100ml water

1 bay leaf

2 tsp dried oregano

1 tsp dried basil

1 tbls Worcestershire sauce

 

Method:

Place mince and onion in a casserole dish, breaking up the beef.

Cover with grease proof or baking paper and cook on High for 2-3 minutes. Stir and break up mince.

Cook on High again for 2-3 minutes. Remove and pour off excess liquid.

Add the remaining ingredients and stir.  Cover and cook on High for 5 minutes.

Stir well, breaking up mince if required, cover and cook on Low for 10-15 minutes.

Stir before serving over jacket potato or pasta topped with grated cheese.
