Baby Hand and Feet Impressions DIY Kit

The 3D Baby Hands and Feet Impressions Kit includes step by step instructions with photos which are very easy to follow, moulding powder, casting stone, a blank nameplate that you can engrave, moulding bags, sandpaper, paint brush and paint.

You will need to supply an extra set of hands to help, mixing container, measuring jug, spatula and a flexible container.

Baby Impressions are a fantastic way to capture the size of your baby’s hands and feet as photos and videos just don’t do them justice. The casting kits are very versatile and don’t have to be used only for baby hands and feet impressions. You can use them to do a sculpture of hand in hand castings, baby’s bottoms, body parts, children’s hands, the possibilities are endless.

I found that timing is very important when creating you baby hand impressions. In the first stage you only have a couple of minutes before the moulding powder sets so you need to move quickly and be very prepared. You cannot reuse the mould so being prepared before you start is essential. You also need to pick a time when your baby is relaxed, because as the mixture hardens it sets and if they move during the process then the mixture will set to their new position.
