BIG4 Easts Beach Holiday Park

BIG4 Easts Beach Holiday Park: Kiama NSW

Situated in South Kiama, only a 5 minute drive from the heart of Kiama; the BIG4 Easts Beach Holiday Park offers an expansive and idyllic family holiday destination. The 12 hectare holiday park with beach front, offers a variety of accommodation for families including both powered sites and cabins. We love camping, so chose to stay on one of their powered sites.

For us the appeal of the BIG4 Easts Beach Holiday park lay in the ability to be located right on the beach which is only a short walk from many of their sites, along with and the great pool facilities that the park offered and the safe roads that the children can ride and scooter on.

Easts Beach Holiday Park Pool

The holiday park:
Large and expansive the holiday park offers a fantastic pool area with a large pool including rock feature and waterfall, a spa and a solar heated toddler’s splash pool. The pool was a great area that the children enjoyed throughout the trip. It was covered with high shade cloth above the toddler area to reduce sun exposure. The solar heating in the main pool offered a temperature that was pleasant to swim in, yet not too hot.

Throughout the park there are other facilities to entertain your children. The BIG4 Easts Beach Holiday Park offers a jumping pillow, 2 play areas, tennis courts and lots of level roads that are perfect for riding bikes and scootering. Near our site there was a bridge which children and adults congregated regularly to see the local eels and fish in the stream. Children loved feeding them and trying to catch the eel was a constant challenge for young and old. The park also offers school holiday activities for children and out of school holidays, they offer movie nights on the weekends.

For parents looking to relax, the BIG4 Easts Beach holiday park has a massage facility onsite, lounge chairs by the pool and good seating at the main play areas.

Staff at the park are friendly and upon arrival to your site you are greeted by an employee who will help you understand your spot and where the amenities and BBQ areas are. Having been to a number of holiday parks, this is the first time we have been greeted by a staff member at the site and I think this is a nice touch. I watched a number of campers benefit from the assistance of the staff member in helping to guide their caravans into the spot.

The amenities:

Easts Beach Holiday Park BathroomsThere are a number of amenity blocks located throughout the site and they are cleaned on a daily basis. For little children, they have a children’s room with toilets and showers sized appropriately for young children. I found the children’s room great as the shower process is much easier with more space and the ability to contain your children so they can’t run off. There are also camp kitchens & BBQs located throughout the site where you can wash up, cook and eat. There were always well maintained. They also offer laundry facilities including both washing machines and dryers.

There is a Kiosk on site which is open Friday afternoons to Sunday mid-afternoon throughout the year with increased hours in peak periods. The office is equipped with your everyday necessities like milk, coffee and the daily papers and there is ice and gas bottles on site; all of which simplify your camping experience.

Easts Beach:

BIG4 Easts Beach KiamaThere are a number of access routes throughout the park to the beach and from our powered site we had beautiful beach views. There are also cabins available that are only metres away from the sand with beach views. Easts Beach has an inlet from a stream that runs through the holiday park offering a great area for toddlers and young children to splash in the water and play with the sand near the waves. Our toddler loved playing in the sand with the shallow water. He was able to confidently run, splash and play without the fear of too much water or big waves. At the beach we saw many fishermen catch fish, while we and other families enjoyed catching bream out of the stream that ran through the park.
