Blood n’ Guts Zombie FX Lab by Wild Science

Wild Science offers a range of children’s science kits that offer fun and excitement while incorporating interesting facts and scientific concepts. Their latest kit: Blood n’ Guts Zombie FX Lab boasts that you can make Levitating Zombie Eyeballs, Zombie Gizzards, Blood Drops, Clots and more. The kit looks and feels perfectly goughlish; just what boys find interesting.

Firstly, let me clarify that the Zombie Blood n’ Guts FX is safe and non-toxic (disclaimer: when used as directed) for children.  The Kit contains everything you need for all the activities including an easy to read informational booklet which tells you how to create your slime, guts and everything else.  As a parent, this is super important to me as doing these activities is usually a spontaneous event when we realise we have some free time and everyone is in the right mood, so the last thing I want is to have to go and find extra supplies.

There was a lot of interest at what was happening as well as interest in the overall feel of the clots. Hands on feeling and touching is encouraged by Wild Science and it increases the children’s enjoyment of the activity. From this we then created Zombie guts and eyeballs.

Throughout the experiments, the boys remained intrigued, interested and enjoyed the experience of being involved by using the drippers or pouring the liquids as required. I like how Wild Science provided special vials and plastic bags that could be labelled and used to contain the specimen created. This way the boys can keep their ‘cool’ creations, showing them off to other friends and using them to scare sisters. It also meant that the fun continued and mum doesn’t have to worry about mess as it is contained in the bag.
zombie-fx-kit-reviewI think Parental supervision is a must for science and craft based activities and found that with three young boys, the Blood n’ Guts Zombie FX Lab by Wild Science was fun, interesting and not a stressful experience for the parents.
