The Dyson DC35 is a vacuum that will become a mother’s best friend! It is a cordless vacuum (like a dust buster) that is easy to use, ergonomic, has multiple attachments, is easy to store and will pick up whatever your children drop or throw at it.

Dyson holds a name synonymous with quality, expert cyclonic technology and innovative products. My brother spent a long time a few years ago telling me why I should buy a Dyson when we were looking at a vacuum cleaner (he was quite obsessed with them). So you can imagine my excitement when I found out that Dyson have brought out a vacuum that will become a mother’s best friend! It is a cordless vacuum (like a dust buster) that is easy to use, ergonomic, has multiple attachments, is easy to store and will pick up whatever your children drop or throw at it.

The Dyson DC35 Animal, or Dyson Digital Slim™ as it is also referred to, takes advantage of their cyclonic innovations to bring you a powerful hand held vacuum with a longer attachment (wand) to help it fit easily under the table after dinner, while its pivoting head will move and turn effortlessly to reach between chairs and around table legs.

Take its wand off and you have a small hand held vacuum, perfect for seats and couches, all without having to change products.

I have found this vacuum cleaner the perfect alternative to having to bring out the full size vacuum. I often find that there are 3 rooms that always get dirty – the TV room, the dining room and the kitchen and while I vacuum the house about 3 times a week (the joys of having little children!) I simply refuse to bring out the big vacuum more than I have to (unless there is a real mess).

The DC35 Animal is the perfect alternative. With its long arm you can vacuum small and large areas, making it the perfect alternative when you have a larger amount of cleaning to do but don’t want the hassle of bringing out the big vacuum. I also found this a fantastic product for my office! As it is so small and nifty is was easy to carry to and from the office, there was no need to plug it in and within 5 minutes I was done.

It has a ‘MAX’ button that we have found to be great for carpeted areas and stubborn bits of dirt (food), while on tiles and floorboards you don’t need to use the max application saving you power. In terms of storage the Dyson comes with a docking station that it connects into and charges (a full charge will give you up to 15 minutes of power). At first I was concerned about the size of the docking station as I wasn’t sure where we would put it and then that we wouldn’t be able to get it out, however I am please to say that it is sitting up about the washing machine and is so easy to slot in and out. I can even do it easily in the dark without having to use two hands or turn the lights on.

The DC35 Animal Cordless Vacuum comes with a range of attachments that are easy to hook in and take off. The bag-less compartment that gathers the dirt is easy to clean and about the only negative aspect of the machine was that the day after we got it, both my son and daughter emptied their (dry) cornflakes onto the floor so that they could vacuum them up.

We have had the machine for a few weeks now and they are still arguing over whose turn it is to vacuum!
