Are you in search of the perfect drink bottle for either you or your children? It might sound silly but finding a great water bottle isn’t as easy as you may think. There are so many things to consider. I often find myself asking do I go glass? plastic? stainless steel? rubber spout? straw? pop top? is it BPA free? the list goes on and it can all get a little confusing at time.

The last thing I want or need is a bottle leakage freakage in either my handbag or the kid’s school bag leaving my children with nil water and me or them a very wet bag. One extremely important factor I always take into consideration is the ease of use, BPA free and hard wearing with minus the sipping spills when drinking. I have recently found such a bottle that meets all my needs with a few unexpected surprises; like no other drink bottle on the market. The answer is ecococoon drink ware.

Unlike any other bottle the ecococoon are designed with unique Cocooncaps using a one-way valve which means no germs filled straws or sippers and, most importantly, no leaks! This is always a problem in my house as the straw and sipper spout are chewed on making a very pricey replacement cycle. The ecococoon bottles are thermally installed which allows you to keep water cold for up to 24 hours and hot for up to 12 hours which makes it a great bottle when out with kids either at the park or at sport. Condensation is not an issue as the bottle are designed to be condensation free.

The bottles are hygienic and very easy to clean. They recommend that you hand wash all pieces in a hot soapy water and drip dry. ecococoon bottles aren’t recommended to be placed in the freezer or the dishwasher as it may damage the bottle. ecococoon bottles valves do need replacing over (every 12 months or so depending on use). You can buy replacement lids which include the valve for $10 or so depending on place of purchase. One of the down sides of the design is that the lid is completely separate, so it can run the risk of being easily lost.

My toddler loves this bottle. It is a little bigger than other bottles around however with all the pro’s this simple con is one that I can deal with as it’s truly is a great bottle. Over the past week this bottle has been put to the test with no indents to be seen, nor has the lid gone missing. I no longer fear the dreaded drink bottle leak and quite confident the ecococoon bottles are ideal for winter or summer that any adult, teenage or child would be very happy with. The bottles come in three sizes (350ml, 500ml and 600ml) and in a range of colours or illustrated designs. The ecococoon bottle colour choices are always a big hit young or old plus illustrations for the kids make it more personalized and having a drink fun.

My verdict is – Overall a well-made drink bottle that can be used for various things on top of water. I personally love the fact that it’s everything I have wanted in a bottle for myself and the kids. It’s a great bottle to take to the park on a hot day as your guaranteed that your child will have a cold drink even after hours of play in the sun. The hopeless cycle of replacing bottles is now over for my family and can see this bottle lasting for a long time. It would make a great gift to give to someone also. It’s fantastically designed and well worth the money. You will want to show it off to all your friends.
