Hayman Bedside Table

The Hayman Bedside Table offers a two drawer bedside table available in a crisp white finish. It is simple and sweet enough for young children or growing teens and the look of the bedside table means that it will compliment any bedroom layout/design.

Knowing we were redecorating a child’s bedroom, we wanted to ensure we bought good sturdy furniture that would withstand children and didn’t cost a fortune as they are likely to decorate it. The Hayman Bedside Table ticked all of these boxes with a good value price and by offering a 5-Stage finish to protect it against knocks and scratches.

Fantastic Furniture say ‘Easy Self Assembly’ for the Hayman Bedside Table and I have to agree. It took hubby and I around 20minutes to put together with no cursing, bickering or confusion. The instructions were simple to understand, the materials looked to be a good quality and the finishing touches offer greater protection and stability for the overall product. The finished product looks great and the bedside table draws slide easily in and out, without sticking or issues. Overall the table is a great size with large enough draws to fit books and more into.

I love the look of the bedside table and think that at only $115 it offers a good quality product suitable for any child’s bedroom. In fact I wouldn’t mind getting a similar one for my bedroom.

Fresco Timber Lamp Base with Mix and Match Medium Linen Lamp Shade

I love the mix and match lamp options – it offers the ability to customise the lamp to suit your exact purpose and with children it offers a quick way to update the colour/look of the room when desired. We choose the Fresco timber base as it offers a sturdy base, less likely to be broken by the children. They offer the Fresco timber base in White, Walnut and Natural. We chose white to fit in with the rest of the furniture in the room. The Fresco base offers a push on/off button located at the top of the base rather than an on/off switch. As my daughter is 7 she has no issues in turning the lamp on/off.

The Medium Linen Lamp Shade we chose was a neutral colour to soften the overall feel of the room as the paint colour is very bright. By going with a neutral colour we are also able to keep the lamp shade as it can grow with our child.

The lamp base and shade were delivered complete and only required a light bulb to be fitted and the lamp shade to be twisted on. The lamp shade recommends a maximum of 40watts which is more than enough as a bedside lamp. We were able to fit an energy saving bulb into the lamp without issue.

Fantastic Furniture Quilt Cover Set

The quickest, easiest and least expensive change to a bedroom can be made through your quilt cover set. Fantastic Furniture offer a great range of quilt cover sets ranging from those for younger children to more stylish options for the growing tween. The price of their quilt cover sets are comparable to other children’s quilt cover sets available.

Each quilt cover set includes a quilt cover, pillow case and a matching scatter cushion.
Each of the quilt covers are double sided which is great, as it offers the option to have two looks with only one quilt, so you can easily change the look and feel of the room from week to week. The actual quilt and pillow case covers are made from a poly-cotton blend construction which means they are easier to clean and maintain. They can be machine washed and are recommended to line dry.

We choose to still go with a young and playful Scarlet Quilt cover set; orange with white dots and coloured butterflies perfect for a young girl who has outgrown some of the more babyish options yet is not quite a tween. The reverse side is white with orange dots. It comes with a matching butterfly scatter cushion and my daughter loved this, constantly moving it around the room like a prized possession
