Girl Lane specialised Girls Hair Care Products

Over the last four months I have watched my daughter evolve from playing ‘hairdresser’ with her friends to actually paying continuous time and attention to her hair on a daily basis; brushing and styling it each day to make it look great. I was happy to further encourage this daily task by providing her with specialised girls hair care products for her to test.

Girl Lane is a pharmacist formulated brand that offers skincare, body care and hair care products formulated for Girls, in specific Tweens (aged 7-14+). The Girl Lane Hair Care range utilises unique natural oils to replenish the hair, making it both stronger and healthier. The Girl Lane Hair Care products are Paraben Free, SLS Free, No Harsh Chemicals and Cruelty Free. Importantly, they are Australian owned and formulated.

We tested the ‘BE TWEEN’ Hair Pack which comes in a gorgeous metallic purple mesh bag filled with the Detangling Mist, Hydrating Shampoo and Strengthening Conditioner. Before even using the products, the Metallic bag was such a hit! My daughter used it as her library bag, a pencil case and so much more. Through this bag alone, she connected with the Girl Lane brand and was keen to test and use their products.

Hydrating Shampoo
Made with natural oils for moisture and shine, the Hydrating Shampoo contains Keratin to repair damaged hair. It is pH balanced and Dimethicone free. The shampoo has a pleasant smell and produces a nice thick lather. The bottle offers an easy pump action to get the shampoo out and once your hair is washed, the shampoo rinses off well.

Strengthening Conditioner
The Strengthening Conditioner further utilises natural oils for moisture and shine along with Keratin to repair and in addition to this, it contains Provitamin B5 to bind the moisture to the hair. The Conditioner is also Dimethicone free. The conditioner also comes in a pump bottle which again is easy to use and I like the way the pump bottles limits the amount of conditioner that my daughter applies. She can always use more, however the portioned amounts typically work better than when they hold the bottle upside down and squeeze. The conditioner glides through hair easily, makes it smooth and it has a pleasant smell.

Detangling Mist
While we haven’t used a Detangling Mist before, this is now an everyday favourite of my daughter. She likes how easy and simple the Detangling Mist makes doing her hair. You can use it on damp hair or dry hair prior to styling. I think it has a pleasant smell and when I used it on my hair (dry) it was much easier to brush and didn’t leave residue within my hair. Using the Detangling Mist also makes styling hair much easier. I used a bit more to make my daughters hair damp, making the hair more compliant and is easier to braid.

Ella’s thoughts on the Girl Lane Girls Hair Care items: 

The girl lane shampoo is smooth to put on and easy to wash off. It is easy to put the shampoo on and then conditioner. I think this helps to provide smooth and gentle hair and it is easy to tie up the next day. The conditioner gives your hair the gentle and smooth waviness that comes when you use the conditioner. The detangling mist is good because you can spray it on easily and quickly without getting your hair wet then when you go to brush it your hair will be nice and smooth.
