Getting your daughter to develop a good skincare routine is very important; not only will it help their skin to perform at its best while their bodies are changing, but it will also create a good habit that will continue to maintain the skin to its best ability and prolong the results of aging in the future.

The Girl Lane Skin Care products are Dermatologically tested, hypoallergenic, scientifically tested and cruelty-free. In addition to this, they are Paraben-free, SLS free, MIT free, PABA free, Fragrance-free, Dimethicone free with no additives and no harsh chemicals. All of this gives me peace of mind that the products are good for Miss E’s skin.

Apart from the obvious formulation benefits, the products are fun, colourful and engaging to young girls. My daughter loved the look of the products as well as the lovely case they came in. We tested the Gentle Face Wash, the Intensive Hydration Mist and the Everyday Face Moisturiser SPF50+.

I have struggled for years to get my daughter to wash her face and moisturise on a daily basis and when I gave her the Girl Lane kit, she was so excited to wash and moisturise! So far she has continued to utilise the products on a (mostly) daily basis and really likes them.

As a mum, I loved the fact that there was an inbuilt sunscreen in the daily facial moisturiser, which then protects her face on a daily basis, even if only going to and from school. The products are also designed to ‘grow’ with the girls changing needs catering for teenagers by offering a tinted Face Moisturiser.

Gentle Face Wash

The Gentle Face Wash uses an oil-based Jojoba wax to deeply cleanse and chamomile to calm redness. Importantly for tween skin, it is antibacterial and hypoallergenic. The gentle face wash is easy to put on and use and washes off well. There is little to no smell and I like that.

Intensive Hydration Mist

Although this is not the most important item in the skincare routine, in my opinion, it was certainly the most fun and exciting for Miss E. The Intensive Hydration mist releases an ultra-fine mist with Aloe to soothe and lock in moisture. Great for use throughout the hotter summer months to quickly and easily replenish any moisture lost. It also includes Broccoli and Kiwi as antioxidants.

Everyday Face Moisturiser with SPF50

The Everyday Face Moisturiser is light and easy to apply. It sinks into the skin well and does not have a ‘sunscreen’ feel to it which is fantastic. The Everyday Face Moisturiser includes Vitamin E to protect the skin against sun damage and Aloe to hydrate skin and cool redness.

I believe the Girl Lane products offer quality products that give mums the confidence to know that they are providing good products for their daughter’s skin and they then encourage the child to take control of their skin’s health. It’s not often you find a company and not only think what a great idea; you like their mission and products and so too does your daughter.

Ella’s Review of Girl Lane Skin Care for Girls

The Girl Lane gentle face wash has a smooth moisturising texture when on. It is simple to use when trying to put on my face. It smells lovely when on my face and is smooth when on my hand. Only applying a small amount means I can use it for longer. It is smooth after applying on the face with the everyday face moisturiser and keeps smooth for the rest of the day. The everyday face moisturiser feels nice and has sunscreen and when you are in the sun it protects you from the sun. After putting the gentle face wash on and rinsing off with the face cleaning brush your face becomes very soft and silky.

Careful consideration was given by our pharmacist when deciding the best ingredients for use in our range.

Whilst none of our products contain peanuts, the following products contain Macadamia Oil: Gentle Face Wash, Paw Paw Lip Balm, Hydrating Shampoo, Strengthening Conditioner.

Macadamia Oil is contained in our products because it closely mimics oils found in the skin and is a wonderful alternative to petroleum or animal-based products.

Although commonly referred to as a “tree nut”, Macadamia is actually a fruit. In the manufacturing process, Macadamia Oil is heated to remove the protein which causes an allergic response in a sensitive person.

Having said that, we strongly advise carefully reading all labels and seeking professional advice in relation to allergy-based sensitivities.
