Globber 18.0 by Kleefer – the fun scooter for mums

I always wanted to be a ‘fun’ mum, being involved in my children’s lives and enjoying activities with them. After breaking my wrist rollerblading with the kids; I thought the dream was over. The Globber 18.0 by Kleefer scooter has given me new hope. A scooter for mum! Surely that is safer than Rollerblades(?) yet will still allow me to careen around the park after the children; perfect when you are at a big park and need to be as fast as them in order to keep track of them.

Setting up the scooter was super easy; even with the help of 3 children, we had it done in under 5 minutes.

globber-18.0-scooter-mumThe Globber 18.0 by Kleefer was easy to use and apart from a lot of muscle aching, (who knew riding a scooter used so many muscles!)  the scooter was easy to ride and manoeuvre. The deck (where you place your foot) was nice and wide as well as long which meant there was more than enough room for my big size 10 foot.

The handlebar can be adjusted in 3 positions and the handles are comfortable to hold. Most importantly the brake is easy to reach and works well at slowing down the speed of the scooter and bringing you to a stop. On the ride with my boys I realised what a coward I am when the scooter started going too fast! I was both very grateful to have a brake and that it worked well.

You may think that a scooter for parents is strange, however I really like the idea. Often walking doesn’t allow me to keep up with my children, so with the scooter I am much faster as we scooter to school together. It is ideal at our local park where the track is over 1 km long and you quickly lose sight of your little one if you are unable to keep up with them. In addition to that, it is an ideal way to get to the train or bus stop quickly to and from work. It could also be perfect for families with larger teenagers who walk to school.

globber-18.0-scooter-mumThe Globber 18.0 by Kleefer has large 180mm wheels with nylon core designed to hold the adult weight limit and the wear and tear we are likely to put the scooter through. The wheels spin well and didn’t catch on paths as we were riding. The scooter materials look durable and of a high quality and I like the addition of a stand so that the scooter remains upright and is less damaged when you aren’t using it.

Folding the scooter is uber easy. Simply push a large strong plastic button to release the clasp and it folds down. To unfold, simply lift the scooter handlebars and it will click into place.

The Globber 18.0 by Kleefer has a weight limit of 100kgs and is available in Black, Blue and White. The retail prices vary from $300 for a fixed height or $350 for an adjustable height. Take a look at the scooter at www.globber.com.au

We asked our Lucky Winner of the Globber 18.0 by Kleefer Scooter to let us know what they thought of it and here is what she said:

“I was a lucky winner of The Globber My Too K180 Scooter by Kleefer, from the recent Mother’s Day Competition run on MumsDelivery!
I haven’t ridden a scooter since I was very young and am quite unfit so thought this may be a bit challenging!
Nevertheless I am trying to get fitter so thought this may be a great way to get started.

My kids are scooter mad and I often trail way behind them as they zoom along the tracks!
The scooter came well packaging and the instructions were very easy to understand. It was very easy to set up.
My daughter was very excited that I would be joining her this time.
She giggled as I began as I was slow, but I soon got the hang of it and was trying to catch her.

globber-scooter-reviewShe had a turn next and said it was way better than hers as it is easier to use.
The Globber Scooter is very well built, has quality parts, is sturdy, solid, and has generous weight limits of 100kg and suitable for up to 1.9m in height.

This would suit teenagers and adults. This scooter is not one to be taken to a skate park to do tricks on. It is perfect for tracks, pathways and flat surfaces.
globber-scooter-reviewIt folds down easily to take in the car or store flat. A quick gentle kick is all it takes. It can be stored vertically too.
It is a very smooth ride, as an absolute beginner I found it very easy to ride and I had a lot of fun too!
I can see this will be a long lasting scooter and provide a great family activity for us to do together!

Thanks again for this fantastic prize!” Charl Lowther
