Hippybottomus Modern Cloth Nappies

When I had my son I decided I was going to use Modern Cloth Nappies. I have tried a variety of different brands and all of them would leak after about an hour. I was so fed up of changing wet clothes that I was about to give up and go to disposables. After talking to my husband I decided to try just 1 more brand of nappy and that’s when I came across Hippybottomus. I was nervous and kept thinking that these too would leak.

When the nappy arrived I put it straight in the wash as you need to wash the nappies a couple of times first so that they get their full absorbency. When it was dry I was so excited to try it so I put it on my little boy and still was thinking that I would be changing his whole outfit in an hour. Well after an hour I picked him up and NO LEAKS…… The nappy wasn’t even close to leaking. I was so excited. I also discovered that for night time use of the nappy you can put more inserts in the nappy which increases absorbency to help the nappy last through the night.

The fabric is lovely and soft on their bottoms and they are so easy to use. They are pocket stuffing nappies so no snapping required, no hours and hours of putting nappies together because let’s face it; that’s the last thing you feel like doing at the end of the day. The nappy is made up of 2 different types of fabric. The outer layer is 100% polyester and waterproof PUL and the inner layer is a lovely and soft bamboo fibre and micro-polar fleece. The fabric is fast drying which means that the nappy dries in 1-2 hours with wind and sun and within a day if not.

I should also add that other Modern Cloth Nappies have caused my baby to have severe nappy rash and with Hippybottomus he is yet to get a rash on his bottom. I am so excited to have found a nappy that works for my baby and that no longer leaks.
