Home Pedicures made easy with the Homedics Pedi Luxe Foot Spa

Let’s face it, as busy mums we don’t always have the opportunity to spend a lot of time on ourselves or to indulge ourselves in luxuries like pedicures; unless we consider Home Pedicures…

Pedicures however, are important and should be thought of as taking care of your feet; after all you do walk/stand/rock around on them all day and some of the night; they deserve to be treated well and taken care of. To make pedicures easier for busy mums, the Homedics Pedi luxe Foot Spa helps you take care of your feet in the comfort of your home, with additional benefits like massaging, magnetic therapy and soothing bubbles. We were able to put it to the test and here is what we thought.

Feeling footloose and fancy free

Dipping my feet into the Foot Spa is instantly rewarding. Not only do I put the water in at a luke warm consistency, I can utilise the “TRU-hEAT” Integrated Heater to keep the water warm. The heat provided from the heater is lovely and warm, in fact, at times you need to move your feet around to disperse the heat so it doesn’t get too hot in one area. With a touch of a button, I can turn the massaging function on. You can choose the amount of time the massage goes for with options of 30, 45 and 60minutes and you can turn the massage off instantly whenever you want. The massaging function is designed to provide a range of benefits for your little footsies; from promoting circulation and helping to relive tension within the foot and calf muscle. Quite frankly at this point, I could quiet happily sit back with a glass of wine, a good book or show and relax.  Job done!

Yet, as an inquisitive person, I need to investigate further, so I put the bubble function on. Instantly the 4 bubble strips start sending bubbles my way and my level of relaxation dips further. Underneath your feet there are massage rollers which you can use to provide a stronger massaging effect if desired. You can also choose to have a fine or coarse pumice stone at the top of the foot spa to run your heels over.  While the pumice stone works well to exfoliate your dead skin, I feel it would be better if the part attached in a stronger fashion as I kept knocking it off.

Happy Little Piggies

homedics-pedi-luxe-foot-spa-reviewWhen the Foot Luxe massage ends, I can feel I have a slight tingle in my feet which gives me hope that it has actually helped stimulate my circulation. A fantastic result as I do have poor circulation. My heels feel soft and amazing and they stayed softer than normal for around a week.

Overall, I like the design of the Pedi Luxe Foot Spa. It is generous in sizing, taking up to a UK size 12 foot. It is easy to fill with water and the front ‘pour spout’ makes it easy to get rid of the water after treating yourself. So, this combined with its ability to treat and pamper your feet while helping you to relax gives it a thumbs up from me.

The Homedics Pedi Luxe Foot Spa retails for $99.95 and is available from assorted stockists including Myer, Shaver Shop, Good Guys, Betta Electrical and good retailers.
