Are Inito Fertility Monitor Results Accurate Here’s My Honest Review.

Are Inito Fertility Monitor results accurate? Here’s my honest review.

If you have been trying to conceive, you would have probably toyed with the idea of tracking your hormones. I did too, at first. But I put off my plans of getting one because all of the fertility monitors were either too expensive or did not have sufficient reviews.

A year ago, my husband and I decided to try for another child. Although I didn’t face any problems while trying to conceive in my past two pregnancies, this time around, we couldn’t conceive after trying for over three months. That’s when I finally decided that it’s time to call in the big guns and finally place an order for a fertility monitor.

Why did I choose Inito?

Inito Starter Kit

I had come across multiple ads for Inito earlier but I couldn’t really make myself click the ‘buy now’ button at the very end. Mainly because it’s $149 and I could buy ovulation sticks at a fraction of the price.

I ordered multiple OPKs from Amazon and found out that I ovulate 10 days a month! At first, I figured that it might be mistaking my fertile window for confirmed ovulation but obviously, your fertile window can’t last longer than 6 days. Clearly, the results were wrong and I was getting false positives over and over so I decided to skip the guesswork and invest in Inito

Sharing a few reviews that were helpful. The users looked genuine and watching day-by-day product evaluations on Youtube, Instagram, and TikTok helped me understand if this really works.

But these were mildly satisfactory, to be honest. I struggled to believe that an at-home test kit can match the accuracy of blood tests prescribed by doctors after a proper medical evaluation. To get more clarity, I reached out to a few Inito users who were also suffering from fertility issues on their Facebook community. 4 out of the 5 users said that the Inito monitor helped them with their ovulation days because they eventually went on to conceive after using the device for a few cycles. One however said that I should consider cross-checking my Inito results with blood tests just to be sure.

Of course, there are other fertility monitors on the internet and each one looks more promising than the other. After doing an in-depth study of their features, a few things stood out to me:

  1. Most of them took longer to test and measured two-three or fewer hormones. Often, on multiple strips. This definitely feels far-fetched if you are supposed to test for at least 10-12 days in a cycle.
  2. Reviews suggested that most devices struggled to show the fertile window. Many even complained of finding multiple dud strips on many occasions due to which they ended up spending more on test trips.
  3. Many parameters that ensure accuracy like wider hormone threshold, base hormone values, and Beta LH values were missing from other fertility monitors.

If you are thinking about how factors like “hormone base values” and “Beta LH” make a difference, you are not alone. I came across this scientific jargon while reading up about how Inito works and honestly, these parameters make a considerable difference.

Base hormone values can be determined once you have tested for a cycle. Based on these results, your fertility monitor will guide you on what days you should test on and give you results according to your hormonal trends. ‘Beta LH’, on the other hand, reduces the chances of false results as it has lower chances of cross reaction with other hormones like TSH, hCG, or FSH.

Cross-Checking Inito Results

I tested with Inito for three cycles until I could finally conceive. Until I started testing, I was quite oblivious to my fertile window and ovulation day. While there are multiple ways to find out if you are ovulating like Basal Body Temperature (BBT) and checking your cervical mucus, you can’t be absolutely sure. Unless you are a few of the lucky ones who experience abdominal cramps during ovulation.

The Inito fertility monitor measures the fertility hormone that confirms ovulation – progesterone metabolite PdG. This hormone starts rising right after ovulation. After testing with Inito, I found out how my hormones worked during my fertile window and surprisingly, I didn’t ovulate the entire cycle when I started testing.

This was not surprising, honestly. I am 34 years old and my biological clock is ticking really fast so my ovaries/follicles are not as top-notch as they used to be. But it was definitely hard to swallow that my body was not producing eggs through an entire cycle when I have already birthed two kids without even trying so hard!

That’s when I decided to cross-check my hormone test results with blood tests and follicular monitoring during my second cycle of testing. Just to make sure the results are accurate and to find out if I really had this condition called ‘anovulatory cycles’. Turns out, I did.

My blood test results matched with Inito’s results as I didn’t ovulate for two entire cycles! I wasn’t prepared for this hurdle when I started tracking my hormones but I really thank my stars that I could identify this problem before it was too late. This is how my hormone charts looked while I tested with Inito for 2 cycles.

My progesterone metabolite PdG levels didn’t rise throughout the entire cycle for two months straight, even when I had my periods regularly. I shared both my Inito charts and blood test results with fertility experts and within a month of medical management, my hormones aligned again and I ovulated during my third cycle!

Would I recommend Inito?

While I managed to conceive and get help because I monitored my hormone levels, it’s easier said than done. Unlike a pregnancy test that tells you what you need to know in one go, hormone tracking needs time, patience, and a tiny bit of perseverance. Because honestly, peeing into a cup and sticking a pee stick to a fertility device (the right way) can be quite a task every morning.

Skipping test days can mess up your results so you would want to do it right during every cycle.

If you are the mother of two in your mid-thirties, honestly, hormone tracking can feel like quite a chore. But once you get used to it, the process will start feeling a lot easier and you will soon start testing every morning like clockwork. Not to mention the calm, the feeling of being in control of your reproductive health, can be quite addictive.

If you are ready to commit to multiple cycles of testing before you can finally reach the light at the end of the tunnel, I would definitely recommend Inito. The hormone values and graphs can give you a ton of information you never knew you needed about your body. All of which can help you during medical evaluations with fertility experts.

Getting blood tests to confirm my ovulation, fertile window, and different hormone levels cost me a lot in two months. If I were to test every cycle (for 6 months) before I could finally conceive, it would have cost me a fortune! I would rather test with a device like Inito and pay for test strips every month to track and confirm my fertile window. This reassured me and made me quite satisfied with my investment in a $149 fertility monitor that gave me all the information I needed at home.

Conclusion

All-in-all, I would rate Inito 9 out of 10 in terms of accuracy, 8 out of 10 for ease of use, and a whole 10 for delivering tons of information about fertility and conception. If you want to use Inito to test your hormones before you plan to conceive or get pregnant, don’t second guess your choice. It is more accurate than other fertility trackers you might be considering and it is literally the only tracker that measures four fertility hormones on one strip. In the long run, this feature can help you save hundreds of dollars.

If you want to evaluate certain hormones specifically to identify the root cause of your fertility problems, I would recommend blood tests. However, if you wish to find your fertile window and confirm ovulation, Inito results can be trusted completely. Its accuracy is at par with blood test results as far as I am concerned and I have been proven right on two consecutive cycles.
