Micador early stART Colourtivities Board Books

The Colourtivities Board Book can be used as a fun, creative and educational activity for toddlers. The three books include a number, letter and activity book and come complete with crayons.

These books have been noted for ages two and up but they can be relevant for another few years due to the differing skill level of each book. My two-year-old has recently learned to recognise numbers so he could read along to the first book. We have just started introducing him to letters so the second book was a helpful tool to incorporate fun into learning the alphabet. The third book included more complicated activities such as getting the participant to draw different expressions, meals and weather.

Although I don’t think my son will have the skills to be able to draw these for a while, it is an activity I can do with him. For example, I could draw different meals and talk him through it (I am quite a poor artist but even I can draw a plate of peas).

If I am unavailable to sit down with him, he still enjoyed colouring in the pages.

The crayons included in the early stART Coloutivities Board Boards are easy to use and didn’t require my son to have to apply much pressure. The crayons are thick so they are easy to grip and are fairly break resistant.

The real beauty of this series is the ease of cleaning it.

I tested it with both a dry cloth and a tissue. Both cleaning devices required very little pressure and the page was clean after a couple of seconds. My son pulled the books out again the next day and started again. I liked that I didn’t have to throw the books away once the last page was coloured in. Not only does it keep my son happy, help him learn through repetition, it saves money and resources.

Prior to this product, I didn’t know much about the Micador brand but I was impressed with the quality of the books and crayons. These books are suitable for children who like colouring and/or are interested in learning words, numbers, letters or activities.
