Mocka Teepee Review
The Mocka Teepee offers a fun, enjoyable play tool for children. It can offer a reprieve for older children or a designated play area which encourages imaginative and pretend play.
Mocka is a family-owned home furniture business located in Australia and with its roots in New Zealand. They specialise in baby and children’s furniture, and they have a range of fun teepees for children to play and use their imaginations in.
Setting up the tent is quite easy. You simply attach the metal poles and then thread the rope through the top section of the teepee tying it together. Then you open the teepee over the base part and tie the base to the bottom holes on the teepee cover. Made from quality cotton canvas the teepee feels strong and durable.
It has thus far withstood many children entering and leaving it, lying in it and reading, drawing or simply utilising it as their own ‘home’ while staying in good condition. With a window and two door sections which can be tied down or left open, it entices pretend play as their minds conjure up a number of scenarios.
When assembled the Teepee is quite large and does take up a fairly large amount of room. Thus you will need the space for it in your house. The good thing with the size of the Teepee is that a number of children can fit into it and can play together. We often had between 3-5 children sitting comfortably in the teepee at any point in time.
The teepee is stylish and can be used as a centrepiece or as part of the theme for your child’s room or playroom.
We have a smaller house and unfortunately could not fit the Teepee into any of the kid’s rooms and thus couldn’t leave it up all the time. However, I found that it can be very compact when packed away and it is very easy to pull all the poles together to store between play sessions.
