We are so lucky where we live. There is a public pool just a few minutes’ walk down the road. It is an outdoor pool but the fact that it is so close means that we can wander up and see if it’s busy or not before getting changed and packing up everything we need. We all love swimming and I have always hated all the packing to go and things you have to take with you!!

So when Moo Moo Kids asked if we would like to try one of their Beach Gowns I jumped at the chance.

I just imagined how awesome they would be. How much quicker a trip to the pool could become and just how much less stuff we would have to pack for weekly swimming lessons let alone going to the beach or the pool. But then the opportunity just became that little more awesome when I realised they were offering an ADULT sized gown!!! Eeeek! Sooooo exciting!

Moo Moo realised that adults were eyeing off their children’s gowns and wanting one for themselves which is why they decided to create an adult version. What a good decision that was!! The Moo Moo Beach Gown is made from 100% cotton, high absorbency, thick velour towelling, has a full length zip and two pockets on the front. The hood easily covers wet hair and it has long sleeves to provide full coverage and warmth. These Beach Gowns are fantastic quality although the thickness of the towelling means they are quite heavy – which I absolutely love!

In a terrible case of Murphy’s Law, it rained and was cold and miserable for a number of days after the Beach Gown from Moo Moo arrived! But finally this last weekend I got to take it out for a test run!! Firstly, this gown has fantastic coverage. It is a great length coming down to way past my knees (although I am a little on the ‘shorter side’ it is still a good length on my tall husband). The towelling is wonderfully soft and luxurious. I felt a little special as I wore it on my trip to the pool! Taking it off I didn’t have to worry about storing my clothes somewhere with my towel etc. All I had was my thongs and my Beach Gown which I was able to hang up in sight. Awesome! So easy!!

After my quick dip, it was really easy to put on due to the wide arms. My damp skin didn’t stick and made it hard to get through the arm like I was a little worried it would. The gown itself was absorbent enough to ensure that I didn’t feel like I was wearing something wet when I put it on straight out of the pool. Because it drew the moisture away from my skin so well it was also really warm in a short time after putting it on. The hood is massive, such a fantastic size, even if I had much longer hair it would help to keep it contained. As I was leaving the pool I got a number of comments on how wonderful it looked, how comfortable it looked and how amazing it was as they hadn’t seen adult sized Beach Gowns before. One lady put her hands on the fabric seemed amazed at how soft it was. It feels so luxurious on. Even though I should have felt more like a drowned rat, I really didn’t! It also kept the sun off of me as I wandered back home and best of all I didn’t have to wrangle with a towel that was falling down or get changed in the rather dingy and neglected change rooms. Such a successful swim I can’t wait to do it again!!

I love the gorgeous Moo Moo Adult Beach Gowns and as they are made from the same materials I can only imagine that their children’s beach gown range is just as wonderfully luxurious, practical and functional.

These would be fabulous after swimming lessons. They could be worn straight in the car with absolutely no worries about the seats getting wet or anyone feeling totally uncomfortable because they are ill fitting or cold. The quality of these gowns means that they will definitely last more than one season too. Which is fantastic especially with the amount we tend to just wander down the road during summer!!
