BREVILLE NESPRESSO CITIZ Review

Nespresso Breville CitiZ & Milk Chrome Coffee Machine

Since becoming a mum my coffee intake has more than doubled so naturally I love a good coffee machine.

With this; so too has my appreciation for a good coffee. I am looking for a coffee that tastes good, can be made quickly and that will keep me awake. I was super excited to test the latest Breville Nespresso Citiz Chrome Coffee Machine and Aeroccino (for frothy milk).

The Nespresso Citiz Chrome Coffee Machine is quick to heat up, needing only 25 seconds before it is ready to seduce you with that sweet coffee smell. Mmm … There are two buttons on the machine – one for short shots and the other for the bigger coffee cups – making the machine simple and easy to use, especially when you are exhausted. It is extremely convenient to have the Aeroccino attached to the coffee machine as all the preparation can be done in one area over the large drip tray, making it easier and minimising any mess.

I like how you have the option to put your small coffee cup on a higher tray for your short blacks/ coffee shots which easily flips out of the way when making a cappuccino or larger coffee.

Operating the Nespress Citiz only takes a few quick steps: Ensure there is water in the water jug, turn the machine on and allow heating up, adding coffee pod to the machine, then press the button for your coffee. The Aeroccino offers two types of milk for your coffee. A simple heating service ideal for flat whites, latte’s or warm milk for bub. The full milk froth service is ideal for Cappuccino’s or Babyccino’s.

The Nespresso Citiz is loved in our house by both adults and children. My son’s love getting a bottle of warm milk in the mornings from the Aeroccino and on Sundays we make them a Babyccino which they devour.

For me the Nespresso Citiz is quick and simple to use; offers good tasting coffee and accentuates my kitchen with its stylish modern chrome looks. It is also great when entertaining as I can offer a premium coffee to friends with just the push of a button.

Nespresso offer over 21 coffee varieties, so I appreciated the 16 Nespresso Grand Cus capsule tasting gift that came with the machine to familiarise myself with a range of coffee blends and to determine which blend we preferred.

Once you place an order for further coffee pods, you become part of the Nespresso Club and I have to admit that the Menu’s, information and packaging of the brochures that came with the machine do make you feel special. They have put a great deal of thought and effort into helping you understand the coffee blends they offer, how best to work and care for your machine, while providing the information in a brochure holder that can be easily located when required.

For customers interested in how Environmentally friendly the Nespresso coffee is, they are committed to buy the highest quality coffee frown in a way respectful to the environment and farming communities and since 2003 have been working with the Rainforest Alliance to develop a Nespress AAA Sustainable Quality Coffee program. Their pods are also made from aluminium which protects the coffee and aromas and is recyclable.
