Fearful of a long drive (over 5 hours) with two young children my husband urged me to get the DVD headrests.

The headrests were hardwired into the car’s electrics ensuring that there were no wires in the car as the children are continually climbing in and out of it and they can be turned on and off as desired.

Not wanting to simply sit my children in front of the DVD players for the whole trip, my rule was that they wouldn’t be turned on until we were at least past the half way mark and completely iSpied out. With only 1.5 hours left to go, the children were starting to get very restless, so we stopped to turn the DVD players on. As the children are still young we decided to keep the movies linked so they both watched the same move, however for older children you can split the connections so that each headrest plays a different movie/game.

Initially we used the head phones, however my youngest (less than 2yrs) kept taking them off his head and I constantly had to put them back on, so later we adjusted the headrests so that my daughter (3.5) listened to it through her head phones and my son heard it coming directly from the headrest. It was great to be able to tailor the product to meet our needs so specifically.

The outcome of turning the DVD players on was amazing!

There was utter silence in the back from the children. They were mesmerised and so content to simply sit still and watch their favourite show. The DVD players made a massive difference to the trip by enabling us to get there faster, with less stress and with happy and content children.
