I feel that the biggest benefit of the Panasonic Steam Combi lies in the ability for mums to cook a variety of healthy and yummy foods quickly and easily due to the combination cooking methods it offers. You can microwave, then steam or microwave then grill. Use the oven and then finish the dish with the grill feature; all without having to change dishes, move food around or utilise more than one appliance. The variety of cooking methods the microwave offers means that you can defrost, reheat, steam, grill or cook a variety of foods ranging from Roasts, to Pizza to Sponge pudding and more.
The Steam Combi Microwave comes with a double grill tray that roasts and bakes like a conventional oven, your glass microwave attachment as well as an additional metal tray to cook with. It is stylish and modern with a pull door handle enabling easily access of the food. The LCD panel is easy to use and read and the control panel offers simple press buttons to choose the cooking function while the control dial allows you to quickly and easily select the menu option, add the weight or to select the time. There is a water tank that is easy to remove and refill as needed for the steam setting and the microwave comes with a decorating plate which also doubles as a collector pan for the meat juices when cooking.
Panasonic Inverter Technology uses modulated power to ensure food is cooked evenly every time within the Microwave Oven.
The small inverter circuit has allowed a compact footprint and a large oven cavity, while Flatbed technology uses a microwave antenna hidden in the base of the oven that rotates during use, removing the need for a turntable. Without the turntable, the 27L Microwave Oven is the equivalent of the 44L turntable microwave model. Not having to worry about food touching the side as it spins also means that I can fit a 3L family size casserole dish into the microwave which I couldn’t before.
This versatile microwave is also smart and offers a sensor reheat function which utilises the IR sensor to detect surface temperature of the food in the Microwave Oven to balance the reheating temperature and timing. From a safety point of view, you can easily child-lock the Microwave Oven so that your children will not be able to operate the Microwave.
