With more men growing beards; manscaping has become a growing trend. My husband is constantly growing a beard, managing it for a while; then shaving it off from time to time. As such we are always on the look-out for great men’s grooming products that work well and were excited to test the latest Beard Trimmer from Philips.
The Philips Series 7000 Vacuum Beard Trimmer offers an ideal men’s grooming product that not only cuts and trims beards, moustaches and sideburns effectively; its built in vacuum catches the hair it cuts, so that the clean-up process is so much quicker and easier. Less mess and cleaning is a huge benefit to me.
Hubby was so excited with his ‘new toy’ and couldn’t wait to test it. He was very impressed with Series 7000 Vacuum Beard Trimmer and the automatic way you can adjust the height levels while cutting the hair. It offers a simple turning action that is easy and quick to do with your thumb; lowering or raising the level in 0.5mm increments to quickly, easily and accurately give you the lengths and look you are after. The level you are on is displayed nicely in an LED panel so you can easily tell what length the trimmer will cut at.
In terms of cutting ability, the blades cut well and throughout the trims, they didn’t catch (painfully stick on hairs) at any point. Made with strong double-sharpened stainless steel blades, they are designed to last a very long time and to cut through thick hair. Better still, they sharpen themselves by lightly brushing against each other as you trim.
As you are using the Beard Trimmer, it is simple to change to the smaller attachment for hard to reach areas. The Series 7000 Vacuum Beard Trimmer vacuums up the hair well, collecting around 90% of all the hair trimmed.
Once finished, the series 7000 Vacuum Beard Trimmer continues to impress as you can wash all the parts out under water; much easier, quicker and this saves effort in not having to maintain the machine with the correct oil.
After a 1-hour charge, the beard trimmer will run for 80 minutes and because we are not always prepared in advance, hubby appreciated the ability to run it cordless and while plugged in. The handle is ergonomically designed and light to hold, making the grooming process easier. Hubby also likes the fact that it is his favourite colours; black and blue.
