Coleman Camping Chairs
When we book our family holiday we do so to get a little bit of time where we can unwind and relax. This review covers camping furniture that can help you to relax and enjoy your camping experience even more.
Coleman Deluxe Cooler Chair
Coleman Deluxe Cooler ChairIts not until you go camping you realise that there are only two places to sit – on the floor or in the chair that you bring. For this reason it is important that you have a chair that is comfortable for your trip. The Coleman Deluxe Cooler Chair’s come equipped with a full padded large size seating area, an insulated cooler bag to store cold drinks attached to one arm and a drink holder and handy organiser on the other arm.
To provide a good review we took a couple of other camping chairs with us as well and sat in both alternatives to determine the differences. Boy- could you notice the difference! The first thing I noticed was the stability of the Coleman chairs and the quality was immediately apparent. We have had cheaper alternatives break on us before and you can feel that the Coleman chairs will be more durable and able to handle a greater weight – ideal when the children are piled on top of you! They are also very, very comfortable and you can relax and sit for hours in them without feeling stiff or uncomfortable.
The second thing we noticed was that the drinks sit so much better in the Coleman chair drink holders and are less likely to be spilt or knocked out of the chair when they get bumped. They were also better for the children when they were trying to put their drinks into the holders as they go in much easier and fit snugly.
The third benefit of the Coleman chairs was the insulated cooler bag in the side arm. While we were camping our fridge was inside the camper trailer so once the children went to sleep we were stuck. We didn’t want to keep unzipping and re-zipping the door opening to get to the fridge as it made so much noise. It was here that the cooler bag was ideal as we could grab a few drinks prior to putting the children to bed and then close the opening and relax. I can also see the benefits of these coolers while having to watch long bouts of children’s sport or on a family picnic…

The frame is made from 17.5mm steel
It has a suggested weight capacity of 113kgs
Overall these chairs made me realise that investing in a good chair is worthwhile as they last longer, are more comfortable and overall create a more enjoyable experience. They could be an ideal present idea for Christmas, Birthdays or Mothers/Fathers Day.

When camping, the chair you have can make a big difference to your comfort throughout the trip as you will find that you spend a large amount of time on the chair watching your children and talking to your partner and/or friends at night.
Coleman Director’s Chair
The Director’s Chair is designed and looks exactly like a director’s chair, with a strong bottom seat, padded backrest and foam covered arm rests. The chair folds flat and is very sturdy with hoop style legs. As the chair folds flat, it can be packed on top of your camping gear or slotted into a side spot.
The chair comes equipped with a table that folds up or down utilising a spring loaded clip and then can swivel around to either be at the side of your chair or across your lap. It has a drink holder and is a great way to access snacks.
This chair strikes me as the perfect chair for when fishing or watching long sporting events as it is comfortable and you can have everything you need all in one spot. It is also a much more ideal chair if you have young children and they are trying to eat on the chair as they will have the table to hold their food.

Coleman Lounge chair
Now this is a serious relaxation – all in one chair. When you sit on the chair it has a higher back and if you lean back, the foot rest comes out and the back of the chair goes down so that you are in a reclined position. Featuring a magazine holder on the back of the chair, two drink holders either side and a padded head rest for extra comfort, this chair just says relax….and enjoy your holiday!
The chair is longer than normal camping chairs yet folds up in a similar manner to most quad camping chairs, making it quite compact. Complete with a carry bag it is easy for you to transport to your desired spot.
With little kids this chair was a hit as they could lie back and relax. If you have a baby or child that tends to fall asleep on you this is ideal as you can then recline and sit comfortably while they sleep or try to coax them to sleep on the chair with it reclined while they are still around you.
