Sili Squeeze
The Sili Squeeze is a soft silicone bottle/pouch that is designed to hold purees and smoothies for little children. There is an open flow teat option and a non spill teat option. Straight away I was struck with all possible options that I could use the Sili squeeze for.
The first thought that came to my mind was how useful it would be for the school lunchbox in summer. I could send frozen smoothies or water. Its smaller shape makes it ideal to freeze and the fact that the silicone is soft and squishy means that frozen drinks squeezed out (like a slushy!)
Then remembering that I was going to the park with two young boys who never seem to tire of eating, I got excited at the idea of taking a smoothie for each of them to have; offering them a healthier and more fulfilling option to other snack alternatives. I quickly made the smoothie and scooped it into the bottle. The size of the neck is big enough that a teaspoon can fit into it and pour the liquid or yogurt into it nicely. At the park I gave the two boys the Sili Squeeze and waited to see what would happen. I gave the non-spill to my 4 year old who had no problems drinking from it and the open flow teat I gave to my 1.5year old. Both boys enjoyed the smoothie and I enjoyed giving them a healthier snack option that didn’t take a lot of effort or need a big clean up.
On another occasion, my sanity was extremely thankful for the Sili Squeeze as we were having yogurt for breakfast when Master J (1.5yrs) decided that he would continue to dip his teaspoon into his yogurt filled bowl and then shake it around. After successfully prying the spoon away from him I attempted to feed him, however he wouldn’t have a bar of it. Luckily my brain kicked into action and I put the remaining yogurt into a Sili Squeeze and satisfied that he could feed himself, Master J then ate his breakfast.
Cleaning the Sili Squeeze is easy however you will need a bottle brush to ensure that you clean all the dairy from the sides.
