Simple Things That Mums Truly Appreciate

Being a mum is a busy job, yet it is the most rewarding. It is rewarding in the sense that we get to experience miracles through our children and simple joys that we discover throughout the years. It is a permanent job that we have taken up and we are proud of.

Admittedly, we also need some stuff because we need to care for ourselves, too, in order to properly care for our family. But we aren’t aiming for the world on a silver platter. We just love it when these are gifted to us.

Understanding

Since we have to think of many things like what to shop for at the grocery, what to feed everyone, family health checkups, appliances that we might need, and work-related matters, we fully appreciate when our partner and kids understand us about what a mum is responsible for and goes through. Of course, we wouldn’t expect anyone to fully understand us and our job, but it really feels nice when our partner volunteers to do the grocery shopping or talk to and mind the kids while we’re trying to work. We, as mums, try to understand the situation or motions our family goes through as well, so we often aim to harmonize the household.

Consideration

This is similar to understanding but is a bit step forward. We love it when we are considered in our family’s fun and games. Often, we have the role of being the most responsible one, but we love it when we are invited to have fun and bond with everyone else in the family. Yes, we have a tendency to be a killjoy and we know it but it isn’t always just because.

“Thank you”

The sweetest words next to “I love you.” Although we can appreciate a simple gift like plain wear or hand-picked flowers from a grassy knoll, when we feel appreciated, we feel loved. And of course, it warms our hearts and kind of fuels us even more to be best mums. Although we do not expect such gratitude in order for us to be a good mum since we’ve taken it as our job, after all, we just want to say that simple words like these are truly enough for us to feel happy and blessed.

Us mums do not want to seem too sappy, but these are truly appreciated “gifts” when presented to us.
