Swim Parkas
As a swimming family I was very keen to give the Great Aussie Swim Parkas a try!
The Great Aussie Swim Parka is designed to lock in warmth so it makes trips to the beach or swim lessons etc., so much easier and more comfortable. Kids don’t have to wrap themselves up in a towel or sit on their towel in the car any more, they just slip on their Swim Parka and are ready to go and your car seat stays dry too! No more waiting in change rooms or battling with children to get changed in front of others, just slip on your swim parka and head home.
Master M LOVES his swim lessons. He also loves jumping in the showers after his swim lessons nearly as much! It has always been a real hassle to get him out of the showers and dressed while juggling Master S. Thank goodness I have now found Great Aussie Swim Parkas!
Master M is currently a size 5 in clothes but the size 6 Parka fits him perfectly. We did need to roll the arm cuff up a little but that did not detract at all from the attractive look of the Parka. It is long enough to cover everything it needs to and has a hood to keep ears and head warm. The Parka itself is well made out of quality material and feels quite heavy. The quality 270g cotton towel lining ensures any water is kept confined within the parka rather than dripping onto your car seats whilst the dual zip makes it super easy to do up and undo.
They just look good and feel nice. Fully machine washable it did take a little while to dry afterwards but it was easily washed and as Master M currently only wears his after swimming lessons there isn’t the need to wash it that often anyway.
Master M wasn’t overly keen to try the Parka because it meant that he could no longer languish in the showers after his swimming lesson. But once he did put it on he didn’t want to take it off! Apparently they are ‘too cosy and warm to take off’ on even the coldest of Canberra evenings after his swimming lesson! An added bonus is that he looks so cute all bundled up in his parka. After his swimming lesson he now just puts on his Great Aussie Swim Parka and we head home. No fuss, no standing in the shower for ages, no waiting for a suitable changing area and no getting changed when I would rather be at home. He gets straight into the car and away we go!
Being so heavy and warm I am sure that the Great Aussie Swim Parka could easily double as a warm jacket in any circumstance.
I highly recommend the Great Aussie Swim Parka for anyone who finds themselves at the pool or beach often or having the shower battles after swimming lessons like I was!
My only complaint is that they don’t come in adult sizes! A Great Aussie Swim Parka would be perfect for me after taking Master S for his lessons (where I still have to get into the pool) or after working in my job as a Swim Instructor!
