Prior to becoming a new mum, I would get my hair done at a salon on a regular basis, and I loved it. I loved the pampering, the fresh feel and look, and overall it was something I valued.

But I quickly realised that with a newborn, it wasn’t as simple as just booking an appointment and taking bub with me as she gracefully slept in the pram. My experience looked more like rushing to get to my appointment on time because everything takes longer with a baby, trying to settle her as the hairdresser patiently waited and sympathetic glances from the other women in the salon.

Needless to say, I was put off trying that one again. My mum suggested that I try something she had discovered to be the revolutionary way to get your salon feel without the hassle of driving to and from the salon, waiting for your appointment or even having to leave the house.

Kids get bored, salons are boring places for them and as mums, we end up stressed out trying to manage the kids and keep them from bothering the other people trying to relax there.
