Uniden Baby Watch pan and tilt dual baby monitor (BW3451R)
Making sure your precious bundle is safe is one of the most important tasks as a parent. Feeling uncertain of knowing what is happening while they are sleeping is now a thing of the past thanks to the new Uniden pan and tilt dual baby monitor. This two-in-one device helps you to see, hear and monitor exactly what your baby is doing when you cannot be with them.

Baby Watch is designed to be mounted upside down with a wall bracket. Mounting the camera is fantastic as you can mount it where you desire to get the best vision of the room and to keep it away from prying fingers. As the camera has the ability to pan and tilt you can easily manoeuvre it around to get the best view. I found it easy to set up and manoeuvre the camera around to see both children in the room. I like the charge/Ethernet cradle that comes with the baby monitor – it is small, stable and offers a great way to keep the monitor in an upright ‘watchable’ position. The cord for it is also quite long making it easy to place where you need it.
Although you would normally have the camera wall mounted, should you need to take the camera off the wall when going on holiday, you can simply place the camera where you need it and flip the display screen to see the picture accurately. Should you travel a lot and wish to access the footage, this baby monitor comes with a free iOS/Android Baby Watch app allowing you to remotely monitor or connect with your child from anywhere in the world.

The picture quality is very clear both during the day and at night. The night vision on the camera is great and provides a good image without uncertainty. Sounds from the room are both clear and easy to hear and I like how the monitor will automatically turn on the camera vision when it hears a good sound, and not just the sheets rustling. I like how the baby monitor provides a temperature display of the temperature within the room, as especially in winter, the temperature from one side of our house to the other is very different and this helps me know how to dress our baby accordingly.
I really like the night light included in the monitor. It provides a soft green light into the room. Soft enough it will not disturb any sleep or stimulate children, yet powerful enough that you can see where you are going/what you are doing in the room at night. In addition to this, Baby Watch comes with a walkie talkie function, where you can talk to your child, which is useful if they are not settling and you wish to let them know that it is now time for bed.
One of the biggest reasons we need a baby monitor is so that we can hear and see our children when we are entertaining (or just eating) outdoors. Baby Watch can transmit video and audio signals for up to 150 metres. This means that we will have more than adequate coverage throughout our house and well beyond our garden.
In addition to offering a video monitor system for your baby, Baby Watch offers a system that can be modified to suit your family’s growing needs. You can expand the system to have up to four cameras to oversee all your children in key areas of the home. This is perfect for when you have a babysitter or nanny, or if you simply want to show your baby’s progress and development milestones to your partner. Importantly, Uniden’s digitally encrypted FHSS technology protects against eavesdropping and hacking from external sources.
