Uniden BW3102 Baby Watch baby monitor
In my opinion, a baby monitor is an essential item to get when starting your family. No matter how devoted you are as a parent, when baby sleeps there may be times when you will need a baby monitor so that you can go outside to hang up washing or watch your toddler play. As a new mum there may even be times when the baby monitor is essential to wake you up as your body is simply so exhausted and in such a deep sleep.
Baby monitors range from simple to complex in their features and product offerings, so it is important for you to determine what is important to you. The Uniden BW3102 Baby Watch baby monitor is a 4.3inch LCD portable wireless baby monitoring system. It offers a secure digital wireless solution which comes complete with two cameras. I was impressed at how easy it was to set up; simply plug in and watch.
The LCD display on the parental unit is fantastic, the clarity of the picture is great and it is lovely to watch your baby. For parents who travel it offers a remote view of your child from anywhere in the world utilising clever Skype software. Being able to see your baby is ideal for occasions when you are not sure if they are asleep yet; especially when you are trying to develop new sleeping routines (and are worried at how your baby is coping) to know that they are still in the cot, asleep or awake and ready to be picked up. The system offers night vision and a night light. The night vision is very clear and the night light is a warm white colour which is quite bright yet didn’t seem to disturb baby.
With the parental unit, you can hear your baby very well and have the ability to control the volume level and to talk back to your baby. The 
individual cameras have zoom and pan capabilities. The Uniden BW3102 Baby Watch comes with two cameras and you can expand it to have up to four cameras. When watching your child you can either view each camera feed individually, via auto scan or through quad view. When utilising the system I was able to go anywhere around my house or garden without any static or range issues.
The baby monitor also offers a temperature display and you can program a temperature range alert. Additional features include:
- A selection of lullabies that you can play to your baby, which you have control of through the parental remote
- The ability to record (up to 32GB) on a micro SD card
- Digitally encrypted signal to protect against eavesdropping and hacking.
