Slow Cooker Pulled Beef
A simple, tasty, inexpensive family meal. This recipe makes a delicious slow cooker pulled beef which can be eaten as is, as a burger, or as the sauce and meat for a Pasta Ragu or within a delicious pie! Best of all, this slow cooker pulled beef allows you to set and forget while you enjoy your day. Perfect for the busy days when a delicious easy dinner is ideal.
Ingredients
• 1 kg Beef Silverside Roast
• 1 tablespoon olive oil
• 3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
• 1 onion chopped
• ½ cup balsamic vinegar
• 1 cup beef stock
• 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
• 2 tablespoons brown sugar
• Salt & Pepper
• 2 Sprigs Rosemary
Method
- In a large Pan, heat olive oil and brown chuck roast on both sides. Season meat with salt and pepper. Transfer to the slow cooker
- Add garlic and onion to the pan and cook for 3-5 minutes until soft. Add to the slow cooker.
- In a bowl, add vinegar, Worcestershire sauce and sugar mixing together. Pour this mixture over the roast and add stock. Pull Rosemary off the spring and add to slow cooker. Turn meat around a few times to ensure it is well coated.
- Cook in the slow cooker on high for 5 hours or low for 8.
- Removed roast from slow cooker and shred the meat. Pour some of the leftover sauce onto the shredded beef. Mix and serve.
